SHORELINE

The Diversity of the English coastline, sky, shore, and quayside with all its force and variety has successfully ‘moored up’ in this collection called SHORELINE.
Baynes works with a colour palette that moves through muted boldness of a creek at low water, blues as flat as a sky in high summer and a bold sunset on the pier.
“I suppose the romance began since going to the seaside were the only holidays I ever had,” comments Tim.
I wanted to build on the 2009 show. “That was a toe in the water” (he smirks warily at the pun) “…this new exhibition celebrates our coast and although the sun shines, the melancholy of an English beach is just as evident.
Tim has again turned to mono printing; press, ink and printing plates, in a process that creates one off, unique pieces which he describes as 'painting without a brush.'
Some of the SHOREWORK IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR SALE HERE
